Our Son's Graduation Party

On that day, June 22, 2006 was a historical day for our son, since he was graduated from his kindergarten level and is prepared to enter the 1st grade in next couple months. The principal gave a diploma letter to all the children who passed the academic program, includes our son. It was a precious moment for us as the parent to see our son could elicit his first graduation, and We knew exactly from his teacher what he has done nicely so far in his class such as reading, math, and writing. The ceremonial party took time at 6:15 pm and was beginned with a theatrical show called "seven brother and seven brides". The show told us about seven cowboy brothers who lived in the mountain. The oldest brother went down to the nearest city, got acquainted with local girl and asked her to marry him. The girl said yes and they were back to the ranch where the younger seven brothers also lived. At the beginning, the other six brother felt strange to interract with their sister in law, yet as the time passed by, they perceived that they also needed spouses to take care of every single of them. Thus, the six brother finally went down to the city, but unlike what their oldest brother did, they just kidnapped six local girls to be prepared as their brides. The local people couldn't help those girls since the boys was successfuly isolated the road to their ranch with a heavy avalanche. So, the rescue team decided to wait until the ice hopefully melted in the next season. Meanwhile, the girls had no choice and finally married the six cowboy brothers and tried to adopt with living in the ranch environment. Surprisingly, the girls felt convenient to live in daily ranch neighborhood and they decided not to go back to their origin city. The show was funny, entertained, and made us proud about the kids who could perform the drama with full confidence in front of their teacher, friends, parents and relatives. Many thanks to all teachers, especially Mrs.Barbara Hart, who not only work hard for academic stuffs but also for children personality development. Two thumbs up ! Bravo !!

Natural History Museum, SD

The San Diego Natural History museum is located right in the heart of a cluster of museums at Balboa Park. The Museum offers you a giant screen theatre which plays 2 different movies at separate time. The first movie is about a journey of viking families that together, they took a naval trip for seeking new wealthier and green lands. Was it an early invasion? the answer is either yes or no, since in many cases they did found an empty land but sometimes they fought with native communities. However, their spirit of voyage has created new interraction and communication in the world. Even some archeologists have a debate about who was the first discoverer of America, was he Columbus or the Viking fleet itself. The second movie is about a rich and beautiful shores of Baja California. The shores are occupied by wide range of ocean creatures beacause of redundant natural foods available in that areas. A local naturalist is a prime star who demonstrates how human can interact peacefully with other creatures under the sea. Another attraction inside the museum is a robotic musuem which displays dinosaurs robots that usually used by hollywood filmmaker, along with many posters of old films about dinosaurs around the world. At the other part of museum, we can see fossil display, balsamic animal, and how to deal and overcome fires at forests or savamnnahs.

Go Fly high, my Kite

Remember when the last time you played with your kite ? That was fun, wasn't it. Now, it's our child turn to enjoy the fun moment with his/her first kite and it's our task to engage them for learning how to fly a kite. Unlike the traditional kite we played long time ago, the american kite we use recently is made by plastic material, sturdy, well designed and fly easily (definitely you still need wind to make it fly, yet as I said before, it is much more easy to fly despite its big size and weight).

Belmont Park is a recreation park that located side by side with mission beach & mission bay. Inside the park, some thrill rides such as giant dipper, chaos, and tilt&whirl ready to surge your adrenalin. Nonetheless, kids also can have fun by riding carousel, boat, and bumper car. Another unique facility in this park is the wave house, a place where artificial sea wave is generated up along a 15 feet ramp and used for surfing exercise. Since the park is still in beach neighborhood, no wonder that many youngers with beach suits & gears walk around the park.

Seal Splash tour at Seaport Village, SD

Departing from Seaport Village, San Diego, the seal splash tour uses an amphibious vehicle named "hydra terra" for 90-minute fully-narrated journey. The last destination is a floating deck, where groups of seals stops by and take their day rest. As you travel San Diego Big Bay by land mode, you will hear the stories of early sailors and the history the San Diego International Airport. While you are traveling by sea mode, the tour guide tells stories of US naval bases, US coast guard, sea-research facility at La Jolla, Yacht clubs, and we can see many sail-boats cross over along your path. Nonetheless, no splash by seals since they were just lying quietly, took nap and enjoyed the warmth of sunshine.
